The Wisconsin Primary Amateur Soccer League (WPASL) is proud to announce that Bateaux FC will be returning to the league for the 2021 season.
“We finished on top of the table the last two years, and secured our first Primary Cup last year. That was an awesome experience for our club and community, plus we’re excited to bring soccer back to Eau Claire after not getting to play home games in 2020 due to the pandemic. We’re looking to run the table again this year and we have the depth to do it. Our squad is young with some new faces, but even more talented than before. We are excited for another year of Bateaux soccer.”
Bateaux FC was founded in 2020. The team is a combination of two 7v7 clubs (EC Boys and EC Heat) who competed in the Eau Claire Rec league since 2010 and have won the championship for 6 years running. In 2019, Bateaux FC, then known as Eau Claire Heat FC, joined the WPASL and finished 2nd place after losing to Barron in the championship game. In 2020, Bateaux FC got their revenge and secured their first ever Primary Cup trophy with a 8-2-0 record.
Home games for Bateaux FC will be played at the Bollinger Fields or Regis High School (COVID regulation pending) in Eau Claire, WI. Bateaux are managed by David Ripplinger and Larry Mboga.
